Internet.org Developer Garage
*30 Julho Belo Horizonte
13:00 - 17:00
Internet.org's mission is to help people discover the value of
connectivity through a set of free basic internet services.
Access is a driver of economic growth and social inclusion, and yet two thirds of the world’s population are currently unconnected. Addressing this challenge requires not only an investment in infrastructure, but also in local organizations who can develop content and services that are contextually relevant and can contribute to social progress.
We are excited to support these local organizations through an Internet.org Developer Garage in Belo Horizonte this July. Please join us to learn about Internet.org and developing mobile websites for basic phones and building Android applications for low bandwidth conditions. You'll also learn about FbStart for Social Good - a program that provides startups with an exclusive community, worldwide events, mentorship from Facebook, and up to $80,000 in free tools and services.
And remember, if you have a great mobile website or application that you would like included in Internet.org's free basic services in Brazil, you can submit it to www.internet.org/platform. Your site will be included as long as it meets the technical guidelines. We are particularly interested in working with organizations focused on education, health, economic empowerment, civic participation and critical information and can support them through our Social Good opportunities through FbStart.
*Please note new date! If you were already registered for the event, you are confirmed for 30 July. If you can no longer attend due to the date change, please email us.
